Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced QA Automation Architect with a strong background in Python-based automation and proven experience in the mortgage or financial services domain . This role involves leading a QA team, building scalable test automation frameworks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant mortgage software products. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end QA activities across multiple mortgage-related applications (LOS, POS, servicing, underwriting, etc.). Develop and maintain robust Python-based automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to understand mortgage business workflows and translate them into test scenarios. Own the QA strategy, planning, and execution for new features, releases, and regression cycles. Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Ensure test coverage for compliance, regulatory, and risk-related scenarios specific to mortgage lending. Mentor and guide a team of automation engineers; conduct code reviews and enforce QA best practices. Analyze production issues, participate in root cause analysis, and recommend preventive actions. Report testing metrics, track defect trends, and work with stakeholders to drive quality improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 15+ years in QA/testing, with at least 6+ years in a QA leadership role. Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory). Strong expertise in test automation tools/frameworks such as: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright | TestNG, JUnit, BDD (Cucumber) | REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI for API testing Proven experience building or maintaining automation frameworks using: PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, Behave (BDD) | Requests / HTTPx for API testing Strong experience in the mortgage domain , including systems such as: Loan Origination Systems (LOS) | Point of Sale platforms (POS) | Mortgage Servicing Systems | Encompass, Black Knight, Calyx, ICE Mortgage Technology (nice to have) Knowledge of mortgage lifecycle: application, underwriting, approval, funding, closing, servicing. Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and working with databases (SQL, PLSQL). Hands-on with CI/CD tools and test integration (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker). Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and QA processes in regulated environments. Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments. Proficient in test management tools (JIRA, ADO, Zephyr, etc.). Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and mentoring skills. Preferred Qualifications: ISTQB or similar certification.
