QA Automation Architect

As a Functional Architect at Guidewire, you will be leading a team of test automation engineers to establish a new team focused on developing turnkey solutions for bureau-based Commercial lines in the USA. The team, consisting of skilled developers, business analysts, and quality assurance personnel, will be managed by PMO to create ready-to-install commercial lines Forms, Digital and Data solutions. Your primary objective will be to unlock the opportunity to maintain content year over year in alignment with the latest bureau circular releases. Your key responsibilities in this role will include: - Being a technical specialist on test automation tools and frameworks - Driving the adoption of "shift-left" in QA - Managing and mentoring fellow USBC team members - Meeting fast cadence delivery deadlines for new product features and defect fixes - Participating in developing internal tooling and standards to enhance customer support efficiencies To excel in this role, you are expected to have experience in: - Developing large-scale test automation frameworks for complex enterprise software solutions - Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and other scripting languages - Expertise in REST API testing and automation, as well as UI testing and automation - Strong skills in testing tools like Playwright, Selenium, Test Cafe & Karate - Understanding of CI/CD tools - Ability to solve complex problems with practical solutions Preferred qualifications for this role include: - Experience with test automation of Guidewire's InsuranceSuite products - Additional language skills for working in global teams - Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field - 8-10 years of experience in insurance or technology-related roles - Experience in leading implementation projects - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence - Strong communication skills Guidewire offers comprehensive health insurance, wellness reimbursements, flexible working arrangements, generous paid time off, parental leave, and opportunities for professional development and growth within the global network.
