What Your Role Entails

You will manage a strong vendor base, identify new supply sources, and evaluate vendor performance. You will plan and allocate vendors for projects, negotiate contracts, drive cost savings, and ensure timely material delivery. The role includes supporting cost estimation, implementing efficient purchasing strategies, maintaining vendor relationships, monitoring market trends, and ensuring compliance with SLAs and project budgets.

What You’ll Do

• Vendor Management :

  You will develop and maintain a strong vendor base, explore new supply sources—including non-traditional ones—and manage the Project Approved Vendor List while continuously evaluating vendor performance. You will also design and implement vendor evaluation, assessment, and onboarding processes

• Vendor Allocating & Contracting :

  You will plan vendor allocation for new projects based on their capabilities, financial strength, and resources. You will negotiate commercial terms, finalize Pan India rate contracts, execute long-term sub-contracting agreements, and ensure timely payments to vendors.

• Cost management & savings :

  You will drive cost savings over baseline budgets, support technical teams with pricing and material availability, and establish cost and budgeting principles to manage price variations effectively.

• Purchasing & Procurement Strategy :

  You will formulate and implement purchasing strategies for projects of all sizes, approve high-value purchase orders, expedite materials and equipment, and manage inventory to ensure adequate resources for all projects.

• Project Support & Billing:

  You will ensure timely material delivery, support the achievement of billing plans, review project billings with Sales and Service heads, and resolve vendor issues across regions.

• Market Monitoring & Process Improvement :

  You will monitor market conditions, track price and delivery trends, research new materials for cost and design improvements, and implement strategies for ongoing cost reduction and process simplification.

Your success is grounded in

• Educational Background:

  You should hold a Graduate Mechanical / Electrical Engineer

• Experience:

  A proven track record of 4-8 years in Procurement and Purchase activities

• Technical Acumen :

  Deep technical understanding, enabling you to analyze complex systems, interpret specifications

• Problem Solver :

  you thrive on identifying challenges, and implementing practical solutions that drive project efficiency

• Industry Insights :

  Your success relies on staying informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies, allowing you to make strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.

• Effective Communication:

  You excel at conveying ideas clearly, collaborating across teams, and building strong relationships

Where you’ll be

This role is based in Mumbai, India and will also be involved in travelling across offices in West.
