Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and strategic Process Manager to oversee and optimize manufacturing workflows within our garment production unit. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality products efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization
  • Analyse current production workflows and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
  • Standardize operating procedures across units and ensure consistent execution.
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to technical specifications and international compliance standards (e.g., EN ISO 1149, NFPA 2112).
  • Collaborate with QA teams to monitor defect rates and initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and certifications.
  • Production Planning & Coordination
  • Work closely with planning and merchandising teams to align production schedules with client delivery timelines.
  • Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and ensure timely escalation of bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and coordination for seamless material flow.
  • Team Leadership & Training
  • Train floor supervisors and operators on updated processes and SOPs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to promote process awareness.
  • Technology & Reporting
  • Leverage tools like Excel, ERP systems, and Power BI for data analysis and performance tracking.
  • Generate periodic reports on efficiency metrics, downtime, and throughput.

Qualifications & Skills

Requirement

Details

Education

Bachelors in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field

Experience

5–8 years in garment manufacturing, with at least 2 years in process management

Technical Skills

Knowledge of garment construction, compliance standards, lean tools (Kaizen, 5S), Excel, ERP

Soft Skills

Strong analytical thinking, leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with automation or digital transformation in apparel manufacturing
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and eco-friendly production methods
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
