Job Description

Position: Procurement Support – Fuel, Explosives & Automobile Spares

Designation: Assistant Manager

Function: Commercial

Place: Guwahati (RO), Assam

Credentials: Any Graduate / MBA (Should be well versed with SAP MM Module & Ariba Sourcing)

Responsibilities:

Support in implementation of sourcing strategies and procurement plans for Fuel, Explosives & Automobile Spares to support the Plant Teams across the region
Provide support for end-to-end procurement of solid, liquid, and alternative fuels as per business requirements
Coordinate procurement and delivery of explosives and detonators for captive limestone mines in compliance with statutory guidelines (PESO, DGMS, etc.)
Support procurement of automobile spares, lubricants, and consumables for plant, logistics, and mining vehicle fleets
Ensure timely processing of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and conversion to Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP
Monitor stock levels by closely coordinating with plant commercial teams / stores to ensure adequate inventory
Use market knowledge to minimize cost and get a jump on long lead items
Forge long term relationship with vendors to ensure cost optimization through standardized rate contracts, benchmarking and ensure timely delivery
Support in identification, empanelment, and periodic evaluation of vendors for fuel, explosive suppliers, and auto parts dealers
Ensure maximum consolidation of the requirements across the region to facilitate cost optimization through economies of scale
Ensure compliance & proper documentation in the sourcing and procurement process as per organisational SOP, DOA and statutory compliances
Preparation and circulation of MIS reports to concerned internal stakeholders
Analyze and benchmark with competitors and explore alternate means of procurement in line with the cost optimization strategies of the organization
