Job Title: Procurement Manager Location: Head Office, Bengaluru Vacancy - 1 Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 5 to 9 years Salary: ₹35,000 to ₹62,000 per month We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in civil construction to lead and manage procurement activities across project sites and head office operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality materials and services, creating and processing purchase orders, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring that procurement aligns with project timelines and cost targets. Key Responsibilities:Procurement Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement procurement plans for civil construction projects. Coordinate with project and site teams to identify material and service needs. Purchase Order (PO) Management: Create, issue, and track Purchase Orders (POs) for both site and head office requirements. Ensure accuracy in quantity, specifications, delivery timelines, and pricing on all POs. Maintain a database of all POs with proper documentation for audit and tracking purposes. Vendor & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and engage reliable suppliers and subcontractors. Manage vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to agreed terms. Maintain approved vendor list and periodically assess vendor capabilities. Cost Control & Negotiation: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize procurement costs. Work with the finance team to align procurement activities with budgeting and cash flow planning. Material Management Support: Coordinate with the logistics and site store teams to monitor delivery schedules and material consumption. Address material shortages or delays proactively to minimize project impact. Contract & Compliance Management: Draft and manage procurement contracts and service agreements. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory/legal requirements. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain procurement logs, vendor databases, and price history records. Prepare regular reports on procurement status, PO tracking, and material cost trends. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent. 6–10 years of experience in procurement, specifically in civil construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, MEP, finishing, etc.). Experience with purchase order creation (, Tally, etc.). Good understanding of construction project workflows and material lead times. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred Skills & Attributes: Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong organizational and documentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple sites and cross-functional coordination.
