The Data Analyst will support the Monitoring and Evaluation function, projects and operations team by providing timely and accurate data for the decision-making process. As an Data Analyst Executive with expertise in advanced Excel, macros and Data Analysis, you will be responsible for aggregating and managing data from different value chains, projects and donor wise. The role involves working with database management system, performing detailed data quality checks, data analysis, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, integrity and security of the data. Strong analytical, and technical skills are required. Take on ad hoc tasks and special assignments delegated by the reporting manager, Roles and responsibilities: Data Aggregation and Management: Aggregate, compile, organise and maintain an up-to-date data into the centralized data repositories, ensuring the timely availability, quality, accuracy, and relevant data across various departments, projects and value chains within the organization. Ensure data meets donor guidelines and standards, maintaining consistency and clarity. Understand and make yourself aware of all survey questionnaire and Coordinate with projects and operations team to understand data requirements as per the project objectives and deliverables. Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other data repositories. Quality Control and Data Validation: Perform detailed data quality checks (refer to the Data quality, pre-processing, data preparation Standard operating procedure) regularly to ensure consistency, accuracy and reliability of the data. Identify and rectify the errors and discrepancies in the data through rigorous validation processes. Regular updates, backups, and data quality checks. Technical Support: Automate repetitive data tasks through advanced Excel functionalities, macros and other relevant data processing tools/tech. Assist in maintaining databases and performing data audits. Develop and trouble shoot advance excel formulas and pivot tables for analytics. Coordination and Communication: Work closely with MIS, operations and field teams to address and resolve data related issues. Communicate clearly and effectively with field, operations and ME team regularly to discuss challenges faced and solutions provided. Data Analysis: Prepare data analysis of baseline, midline, endline, and pre-post assessment. Create an easy-to-understand summary/Dashboard for various teams/projects. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 2 years of experience. OR Proven experience as an Data analyst or similar role. Expert proficiency in Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and macros. with experience in data management and data cleansing techniques. Language(s) Proficiency in English, and Hindi with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of at least one regional language is desirable, especially for field visits and local stakeholder engagement.
Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual donor reports in adherence to deadlines and commitments. Ensure reports meet donor guidelines and standards, maintaining consistency and clarity. Conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress, gather insights, and capture compelling case studies or success stories. Identify and document the project s impact, best practices, and lessons learned to showcase achievements. Collaborate closely with the Monitoring Evaluation (ME) team to obtain up- to-date data and analytics for inclusion in project reports and other documentation. Work with the field team to comprehensively understand project developments and identify stories that effectively represent project successes. Coordinate with the communications team to proofread and enhance the quality of content for promotional materials, newsletters, and reports. Maintain organized and accessible records of all reports, case studies, and supporting documents for future reference and audits. Implement systematic documentation processes for easy retrieval and tracking. Develop high-quality documents, presentations, and reports as requested by the reporting manager or project team. Assist in creating visually engaging materials using charts, infographics, or other tools to enhance presentation quality. Ensure all documentation aligns with organizational policies, donor requirements, and branding guidelines. Contribute to internal capacity-building efforts by sharing documentation best practices with team members. Review and edit documents to ensure accuracy, grammatical correctness, and consistency in style and tone. Actively participate in team meetings to provide updates on documentation progress and share insights from field visits or reporting outcomes. Support knowledge management by curating content for internal or external dissemination, such as success stories, case studies, and impact reports. Take on ad hoc tasks and special assignments delegated by the reporting manager, including supporting strategic initiatives or cross-departmental projects. Proficiency in managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining well-organized records for future reference. Familiarity with tools for document creation, data visualization, and presentations (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace, or equivalent tools). Creative thinking to craft compelling narratives communicating project outcomes and value to donors and stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s in Communications, Journalism, English Literature, Social Work (MSW), or a related field. Additional writing, content creation, or project management certifications are an added advantage. Experience Minimum 3 4 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably within the development sector or non-profit organizations. Prior experience in donor reporting, case study writing, or content development is strongly preferred. Language(s) Proficiency in English, with excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
