Our Business Focuses On Providing Engineering Services To The Following Key ClientsFor EDF Energy in the UK and for Nawah Energy Company in the Middle East, we help ensure the on-going safe, reliable, low carbon nuclear generation of their power stations, and for EDF Energy we are helping with preparations for safe and efficient defuelling.Finally, we also support other clients and parts of the AtkinsRéalis business covering the full lifecycle from new build through to deconstruction, defence, net zero energy projects to name a few.The project opportunities we have are varied in size and therefore responsibility levels, from delivering our consultancy engineering services, to being embedded within the client organisation delivering their engineering projects and programmes.As such we are looking for an experience Procurement/Supply chain professional.
Requirements
- Working within our Nuclear and Power business sector, as a Procurement Analyst—you will work with teams to enable the delivery of AtkinsRéalis technical engineering projects or work directly for our key clients embedded into their major programmes.
- As a Procurement Engineer—you will need the following skill sets:
- Three to eight years of demonstrated experience in Procurement or Inventory management field.
- Hands on experience in SAP MM or any equivalent ERP Platform.
- Ability to translate requirements into a solution.
- Background in management consulting and advisory roles preferred but not mandatory.
- Comprehensive understanding of key supply chain processes across various streams.
- Strong understanding in one or more ERP platform Modules (such as Procurement, Materials Management etc).
Responsibilities
- Order book and shortage report management for specific, designated projects.
- Maintaining good supplier relationships and attending meetings where performance issues arise.
- Update suppliers of Engineering Design Request (EDR) changes.
- Resolving invoice queries.
- Lead on project mobilisation against the defined project programme plans.
- Working within the defined project materials budget, whilst seeking to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through the application of best procurement practice and risk minimisation.
- Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as defined by project team and Strategic Procurement Manager.
- Attend programme review meetings and kick-off meetings as required.
- Ensuring third-party spend is in accordance with designated procurement controls.
- Lead bid responses with UK teams, integrating supply chain governance and social value.
- Manage bid trackers, evaluation matrices, and submission documentation.
- Execute tender events: NDA, EOI, RFQ/RFI, and evaluations.
- Draft supplier profiles and case studies for procurement stages (PSQ, IIT).
- Develop SSPs and SOPs to support sourcing strategy.
- Oversee supplier onboarding and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Analyze data for cost savings, performance trends, and risk.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership decisions.
- Digitize workflows using SharePoint and Power BI.
- Support bid costing: breakdowns, margins, and value engineering.
- Ensure procurement governance and policy adherence.
- Conduct sourcing for Canada projects and PAN-India supplier analysis.
- Perform market research, due diligence, and maintain technical reports.
- Support PRCT, Stage Gate Reviews, and Lessons Learned packs.
- Run low-complexity RFQ events and monitor procurement milestones.
- Transactional Procurement Support Helpdesk—providing guidance upon Procurement process and ensuring requests are processed expediently (Procurement SharePoint site) “Super-Users”

Desirable Qualities
- Experience in a project-driven complex manufacturing environment.
- Educated to Degree or equivalent.
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS).
- Skilled in SharePoint, Power BI, and Excel.
- Ability to drive procurement strategy and reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Familiarity with ESG, social value, and supply chain compliance, tender governance and supplier lifecycle.
