Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Payroll Executive to oversee and manage our end-to-end payroll processing for a workforce of over 2,000 employees. The ideal candidate will be an expert in payroll operations, possess advanced Excel skills, and have a proven track record of handling employee queries and managing third-party payroll vendors. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursement, statutory compliance, and resolving all payroll-related grievances efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Management:
- Manage the complete payroll lifecycle for a minimum of 2,000 employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
- Process data from various sources including attendance, leaves, deductions, bonuses, and incentives.
- Handle full and final settlements with precision and in accordance with company policy.
- Validate and reconcile payroll inputs and outputs before final disbursement.
Employee Grieviance & Query Resolution
- Serve as the key point of contact for all employee salary-related queries and grievances.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in salaries, deductions, taxes, and other payroll components in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Provide clear and concise explanations to employees regarding their payroll slips and deductions.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure strict compliance with all statutory norms related to payroll (e.g., PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, LWF).
- Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for management.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills & Google sheets (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, and Complex Formulas) for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
Data Integrity & Process Improvement
- Maintain the highest level of data integrity and confidentiality of payroll information.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains within the payroll function.
- Maintain and update all payroll records and documentation systematically.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 plus years of proven experience in end-to-end payroll management.
- Must have handled payroll for at least 2,000 employees.
- Mandatory experience in managing third-party payroll vendors.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is non-negotiable.
