Job Description

Operations and Stock Maintenance Manager :  (For a Food Brand / FMCG / Food Manufacturing / QSR / Food Retail)  Objective:To oversee day-to-day operations and ensure seamless inventory management, procurement, and logistics while maintaining quality and efficiency across the supply chain for a food brand.  Key Responsibilities:1. Operations ManagementManage daily business operations across production, packaging, warehousing, and distribution and co ordination with factory.  Collaborate with production and quality control teams to ensure timely output and compliance with safety & hygiene standards. Optimize workflows to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, procurement, logistics). Maintain the ageing of the stocks.  2. Stock & Inventory ManagementMonitor and control stock levels of raw materials, packaging items, and finished goods. Implement inventory tracking systems (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, batch-wise tracking). Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and seasonality. Prevent overstocking and stockouts through accurate reporting and planning. Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile discrepancies. 3. Procurement & Vendor ManagementLiaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality raw materials. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors. Evaluate supplier performance regularly. 4. Logistics & DistributionManage the distribution of finished goods to retail outlets, distributors, or customers. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining cold chain integrity (if applicable). Track logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight costs, and damage control. 5. Technology & Systems inventory management tools (e.g., Zoho Inventory, SAP, NetSuite). Ensure data accuracy in systems related to inventory, orders, and deliveries. 6. Team ManagementSupervise warehouse, logistics, and operations staff. Provide training on SOPs, hygiene, and safety protocols. Conduct performance reviews and align team objectives with business goals. 7. Compliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with food safety (e.g., FSSAI, HACCP) and labor regulations. Prepare reports for management (stock status, wastage, operational bottlenecks).  Key Skills Required:Inventory & warehouse management Operations optimization Knowledge of food safety & hygiene standards Forecasting & demand planning ERP & inventory software proficiency Problem-solving & analytical thinking Leadership & team management  Educational Background:Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Food Technology, or Business Administration Certifications in Inventory Control, Lean Operations, or Food Safety are a plus  Experience:3 years of experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, retail food brands, or QSR operations Familiarity with perishable goods and cold chain management is highly desirable
