About Us:
Position Purpose
Lead the design, implementation, automation, governance, and day-to-day operations of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments for enterprise workloads. Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and operational excellence across core OCI services including compute, networking, storage, IAM, and observability. Implement governance frameworks, monitoring, security baselines, and compliance controls using OCI Monitoring, Logging, Cloud Guard, and Security Zones. Support hybrid workloads and drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and best practices.
Role Description
OCI Architecture & Infrastructure Design:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available OCI architectures including compartments, network layouts, resource organization, and multi-region environments. Develop tenancy structures, tagging governance, policies, and operational standards.Cloud Deployment & Configuration:
Deploy and configure OCI services including Compute Instances, Instance Pools, Autoscaling, VCNs, subnets, DRGs, LPGs, routing, NSGs, Service Gateways, Load Balancers, Block Volumes, File Storage, Object Storage, OCI DNS, and WAF. Manage hybrid environments through FastConnect, IPSec VPN, and on-prem connectivity solutions.Identity, Access & Security:
Implement OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM) including users, groups, dynamic groups, policies, service principals, and tenancy-wide permissions. Configure Vault for secrets, encryption keys, and certificate management. Implement Security Zones, Cloud Guard, and compliance adherence across OCI resources.Automation & Infrastructure as Code:
Automate provisioning using Terraform, Resource Manager, OCI CLI, and scripting. Standardize deployments with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines. Automate patching, resource scheduling, monitoring rules, and configuration drift remediation.Governance & Policy Management:
Implement governance structures including compartments, quotas, tagging policies, and cost controls. Use policy-driven controls to enforce compliance, access control, and resource consistency.Monitoring, Logging & Observability:
Configure and maintain OCI Monitoring, alarms, Logging, Log Analytics, Events, Notifications, and service health checks. Build dashboards and alerting systems for proactive issue detection. Perform root-cause analysis and performance tuning for compute, storage, databases, and network workloads.Backup, DR & High Availability:
Configure automated backup policies, volume replication, object lifecycle rules, and cross-region replication. Design disaster recovery architectures meeting RTO/RPO requirements. Implement high availability setups across availability domains and fault domains.Networking & Connectivity:
Configure and manage OCI VCNs, routing tables, NAT gateways, internet gateways, DRGs, security lists, NSGs, firewalls, traffic steering policies, load balancers, and DNS services. Troubleshoot network flows, latency issues, route conflicts, and hybrid connectivity.Cost Management & Optimization:
Track and optimize OCI spending using Cost Analysis, Usage Reports, Budgets, and Recommendations. Optimize compute shapes, storage tiers, autoscaling policies, and unused resource cleanup.Operational Excellence:
Manage patching, instance updates, image management, performance baselining, workload capacity planning, and SLA reporting. Develop runbooks, incident workflows, and operational standards.Documentation & Collaboration:
Maintain detailed documentation including infrastructure diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting guides. Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Networking, application teams, and vendors. Provide L2/L3 support and participate in on-call rotations.Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with OCI new services, enhancements, and best practices. Recommend improvements for architecture, automation, scalability, and security. Contribute to cloud governance frameworks and operational maturity.
