Within this, the Global Information Services (GIS) team plays a critical role by delivering reliable information services and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
As part of GIS, this role provides administrative and application support for the British Council’s global Marketing Automation system, HubSpot. Now a business-critical platform, HubSpot underpins personalised campaigns for English, Exams, and Cultural Engagement, integrating with registration platforms and Salesforce CRM. The role ensures the day-to-day management, data integrity, and ongoing development of HubSpot, supporting global marketing teams in delivering high-volume, customer-facing communications that engage millions worldwide.
The role is responsible for the day-to-day support, management, and maintenance of the British Council’s global Marketing Automation system (HubSpot), ensuring system stability and data integrity. This includes managing user roles and permissions, handling administrative tasks such as data imports and field creation, and serving as the first line of support for internal users. The role also supports integrations with systems like Salesforce and web analytics, assists with platform updates, ensures data quality through audits and hygiene checks, and oversees reporting and dashboards to support marketing and sales performance.
In addition, the role contributes to service delivery by monitoring performance, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring agreed service levels are met. It involves documenting and implementing changes, supporting remedial and preventative measures, and developing scalable workflows, automation sequences, and lead routing processes. The role also maintains process documentation to ensure systems and workflows remain clear, sustainable, and continuously improved.
