About the Role
Manager – Partnerships & Starategic Alliances
You will use your deep understanding of partner ecosystems and SaaS business models to develop joint go-to-market (GTM) initiatives, shape strategic programs, and enable partner sales teams. This position combines strategic thinking, business development acumen, and operational execution to create win-win opportunities that deliver measurable results for SMS-Magic and its partners.
As the bridge between SMS-Magic and its partners, you will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to ensure alignment of goals and successful execution of partnership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand partnerships with leading technology platforms, including Salesforce, Microsoft, Zoho, Talkdesk, and Vonage.
- Build strong relationships at multiple levels within partner organizations, including C-level executives, sales leaders, and technical stakeholders.
- Identify, structure, and execute new partnership opportunities that drive joint business outcomes and revenue growth.
- Design and implement partner GTM programs, co-marketing campaigns, and joint value propositions to enhance brand visibility and partner engagement.
- Enable and train partner sales teams to effectively position and sell the
Converse
platform to end customers. - Work closely with internal sales teams to drive opportunities that originate or involve partner collaboration.
- Serve as the internal “voice of the partner,” ensuring partner needs and market insights influence SMS-Magic’s roadmap and value proposition.
- Collaborate with Marketing to create thought leadership content, events, and joint campaigns to promote partner solutions.
- Monitor partner programs, identify co-innovation opportunities, and leverage early access and beta programs for mutual advantage.
- Negotiate, structure, and execute partnership agreements in collaboration with Legal and Product teams.
- Track, analyze, and report on partner performance metrics to optimize outcomes and inform strategic planning.
- Represent SMS-Magic at industry events, partner conferences, and executive meetings to promote our ecosystem and partnerships.
Internal Roles & Functional Responsibilities
- Guide resellers and partners on high-level strategy, uncovering their growth objectives and aligning SMS-Magic solutions to meet them.
- Adapt partnership plans to resource constraints and ensure agile collaboration.
- Deliver partner sales and services training sessions, both virtually and onsite.
- Develop partner marketing plans, co-branded materials, and enablement toolkits.
- Manage support escalations and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Drive North American and international channel partner sales targets through effective relationship management.
- Recruit and onboard new partners aligned with SMS-Magic’s market expansion goals.
- Maintain compliance with partner agreements and ensure operational excellence.

Use insights from BI tools and partner performance data to prioritize opportunities and drive operational improvements.Innovation Enablement:
Collaborate with internal teams to identify new product features or integrations that strengthen partner competitiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8–10 years of experience in technology-related partner sales, business development, or alliances in a B2B software or SaaS company.
Preferred Qualifications
- 12–15 years of experience in managing and growing relationships with global software partners.
- Proven ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations and influence multiple stakeholders.
- Experience engaging with partners’ end clients at the C-level to shape joint value propositions.
- Strong background in building partnership strategies, business models, and GTM programs (Salesforce or ISV experience is a strong plus).
- Solid understanding of
PaaS
and SaaS
business models, partner ecosystems, and enterprise software sales. - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with English fluency at a professional level (additional languages a plus).
- Enthusiastic, curious, and energetic individual with strong influencing and collaboration skills.
- Experience managing partnerships with major players such as Salesforce, Zoho, Microsoft, Talkdesk, and Vonage.
