This role reports to the Head of Total Rewards for MOAI (Southeast Asia, Oceania and India) and will work in close coordination with country PBPs, HR Delivery Specialists, Payroll teams, GSSC/Payroll providers, and country International Mobility SPOCs.Role Purpose: To ensure Operational Excellence w.r.t. implementation of Global/Regional/Local Total Rewards Directives, Policies and Instructions within countries in MOAI Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

Compensation & Benefits

  • Ensure oversight on implementation of compensation and benefits processes across countries in MOAI (Southeast Asia, Oceania and India) with the objective of securing alignment to global, regional, local total rewards directives, policies, instructions, processes etc.
  • Evaluate gaps and drive corrective actions in partnership with key stakeholders (country PBP, MOAI TR SME, Payroll etc.)
  • Support People Business Partners with training and guidance on compensation and benefits policies.

Payroll Alignment and Compliance

  • Ensure payroll inputs, calculations, and payouts across MOAI countries adhere to local, regional, and global total rewards policies and instructions.
  • Lead regular payroll audits to verify accuracy, compliance, and data integrity; implement remediation plans as needed.
  • Maintain traceability and documentation of payroll controls, exceptions, and changes in line with governance standards.

Engagement and Governance

  • Collaborate with country People Business Partners (PBPs), HR Delivery Specialists, and Payroll teams to assess admin activities performed by PBPs that could be outsourced to GSSC/Payroll without compromising control or service levels.
  • Develop and maintain governance mechanisms to monitor outsourcing decisions, SLAs, and performance with service providers.

Local Instructions and Process Harmonization

  • Ensure PBPs maintain up-to-date local total rewards instructions (policy, procedures, pay scales, allowances, and benefits) aligned with global standards and local market requirements.
  • Drive standardization of payroll-related processes where feasible while accommodating local compliance and cultural nuances.

International Mobility Data and Oversight

  • Consolidate international mobility data across MOAI, maintaining accuracy and completeness (e.g., assignments, relocation, compensation components, allowances, tax implications).
  • Provide oversight and periodic reporting on mobility data to the HR Head, coordinating with country International Mobility SPOCs and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support mobility policy implementation and ensure alignment with total rewards guidance and cross-border implications.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Produce regular and ad-hoc dashboards and reports on payroll accuracy, efficiency of outsourcing initiatives, and mobility data integrity.
  • Partner with HR Finance/Analytics teams to model cost implications and identify optimization opportunities.

Compliance, Risk, and Stakeholder Management

    • Monitor compliance with employment laws, tax regulations, and corporate governance standards relevant to payroll in each country.
    • Liaise with Legal/Compliance to ensure adherence to country-specific statutory requirements and cross-border taxation implications.

Continuous Improvement and Projects

    • Contribute to global total rewards projects (policy harmonization, digital HR tools, process improvements) with a payroll perspective.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to payroll and mobility data management, leveraging automation and digital HR tools where appropriate.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 8–12 years of progressive HR/Total Rewards experience especially in HR / TR Delivery (HR Operations) in a shared services centre setup with strong payroll, international mobility, and benefits exposure; multi-country or regional HR operations experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, or equivalent); strong data analytics and financial modelling skills in Excel; experience with mobility data management tools is a plus.
  • Competencies: Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and collaboration abilities; ability to balance global standardization with local needs; high integrity, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity; strategic mindset with operational execution capability.
