About the Role


Reporting to the Sr. Manager PBP, you will operate at the forefront of all talent initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders within your span. You will independently drive HR priorities, proactively connect the dots across HR disciplines and business needs, and play a central role in shaping Saks Global’s people strategy. This role requires a high degree of ownership, data-informed decision-making, and the ability to influence and collaborate across functions. Take your junior team members along to support your leaders in People team to drive the people agenda for the site. You will bring a blend of operational expertise and strategic thinking, serving as a champion of Saks’ culture, an advocate of employee engagement, and a catalyst for change. You’ll work closely with COEs (Compensation, L&D, DEI, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations) and be accountable for the end-to-end employee experience, leadership enablement, and execution of key HR programs.



Responsibilities


  • Operate as the primary HR partner for a defined span of function/s, proactively advising on talent, succession planning, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Translate business needs into tailored HR solutions in partnership with COEs and global counterparts.
  • Lead optimization of key people programs including performance management, talent reviews, employee survey actions, and DEI initiatives.
  • Independently manage people projects or functional level people initiatives through the teams.
  • Identify and drive improvements to HR systems, processes, and data accuracy within your scope.
  • Support in developing and implementing employee related policies and procedures for the company.
  • Collect and assess HR data for performance management and other tasks using metrics. Provide inputs and employee demographic data during audits, recurring review meetings, bonus, merit & appraisal discussions.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees by providing support for various subjects such as leaves, compensations, and problem resolutions.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Participating in special projects as required.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Oversee key HR processes such as onboarding, policy compliance, rewards and recognition, and lifecycle transactions in collaboration with business leaders & HR COEs as applicable.
  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws and Saks policies, identifying compliance gaps and escalating risks proactively.
  • Use data analytics and insights to support workforce planning, diversity dashboards, and audit requirements.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):


  • Post graduate in Human Resource


Preferred Skills


  • About 6-9 of progressive HR experience, preferably in a business partnering role, including experience in scaling and supporting fast-paced organizations.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and proactively, with a bias toward action and accountability.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset and comfort with HR metrics, dashboards, and data storytelling.
  • Experience managing complex projects or initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with COEs and navigating matrixed environments.
  • Exposure to employee relations, DEI, performance management, and change management.
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, and tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, or data visualization platforms.
  • Exposure/Experience – working across cultures & cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
  • Highly accountable with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and organizational change.
