JD for Jenkins Engineer Key Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and stabilize Jenkins pipelines, ensuring higher build success rates. • Analyse recurring job/test failures and establish root cause patterns. • Reduce noise in Teams channels by optimising notification and ing strategies. • Implement monitoring, dashboards, and reporting for pipeline health and failure trends. • Collaborate with developers to improve test reliability and CI/CD best practices. • Document solutions, playbooks, and guidelines for long-term maintainability. • Drive proactive improvements with leadership traits questioning assumptions, proposing solutions, and working independently with minimal supervision. Required Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins administration and pipeline troubleshooting. • Proficiency in CI/CD concepts, build automation, and test orchestration. • Familiarity with Groovy, Jenkins files, and pipeline-as-code. • Node and Java application familiarity - package management, build automation, unit tests etc. • Experience with test frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, etc.) and debugging flaky tests. • Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar). • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and propose systematic fixes. • Excellent communication skills to reduce noise and provide clarity in cross-team collaboration. Preferred Skills • Experience with monitoring/observability tools. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) for CI/CD integration. • Exposure to Agile/DevOps practices and working in fast-paced delivery environments. • Ability to balance quick wins with long-term sustainable improvements.
