What You'll Do:

System Architecture & Technical Leadership:

• Architect and implement scalable, reliable Node.js systems using distributed design principles
• Define and evolve technical roadmaps aligned with business KPIs and emerging technology trends
• Lead large-scale modularisation efforts ensuring extensible, maintainable codebases
• Drive technological transformation through cutting-edge solutions and research integration

Cross-Squad Collaboration & Delivery:

• Coordinate successful cross-squad delivery through clear API contracts and Agile frameworks
• Create structured architectural documentation and establish engineering best practices
• Optimize backend systems for cost, reliability, and scale using clustering and stateless patterns
• Implement cloud-native cost control mechanisms within Node.js applications

Team Development & Engineering Excellence:

• Mentor and grow engineering talent through structured feedback and career development
• Champion engineering excellence via rigorous quality standards and robust CI/CD pipelines
• Foster strong team culture and contribute to hiring strategies
• Bridge technical and business discussions using metrics and strategic insights

Performance & Observability:

• Drive observability initiatives through Prometheus, Grafana, and custom instrumentation
• Implement resiliency techniques and performance monitoring tailored to Node.js workloads

• Optimize system performance through advanced profiling and tuning

Core Node.js Expertise:

• Deep Node.js runtime knowledge and distributed system design principles

Infrastructure & DevOps:

• Modern infrastructure tooling (Kubernetes, service mesh)

Monitoring & Performance:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
