Job Title: Key Account Manager (KAM) Level: Senior Manager / Assistant General Manager Location: Chennai Department: Sales & Business Development Industry: Solar Energy (Experience in Solar Industry is Mandatory) Role Overview The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with key clients, driving business growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the solar industry. Key Responsibilities Account Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts. Act as the main point of contact between the company and assigned accounts. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Business Development: Identify opportunities for account growth and new business development. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategic plans for account expansion. Achieve sales targets and KPIs set by the company. Client Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing timely solutions. Conduct regular client reviews and feedback sessions to ensure alignment with client expectations. Proactively manage client relationships to prevent and resolve issues. Market Insights: Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to enhance product offerings and strategies. Develop and share market intelligence with key stakeholders. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, sales activities, and market conditions. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales, and account management activities. Use CRM systems to track and manage account information and sales activities Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless client experience. Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to support company initiatives. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met efficiently and effectively. Qualifications & Experience Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is preferred. Professional Experience:12–15 years of experience in key account management or sales within the solar industry. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of solar energy products and solutions. Key Skills Strategic Thinking: Ability to align account management strategies with organizational goals. Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing market data and customer feedback to inform decision-making. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management and clients.
