Job Summary:

The Junior Account Manager will assist in managing client accounts, ensuring accurate financial operations and compliance with tax regulations. The role involves supporting senior account managers in day-to-day operations, maintaining client relationships, and using accounting software to prepare financial reports and filings. Key Responsibilities:

Account Management:

  • Assist in managing a portfolio of clients, serving as a point of contact for day-to-day queries.
  • Support in understanding client needs and delivering solutions to meet their financial goals.
  • Prepare and maintain account documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Financial Operations:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements, invoices, and reports for clients.
  • Support reconciliation of accounts, including bank statements, vendor payments, and client accounts.
  • Ensure data accuracy by reviewing and validating financial transactions.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, including GST, TDS, and income tax, under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Help maintain compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and deadlines.
  • Perform basic reconciliations for GST filings, TDS calculations, and other statutory compliance tasks.

Accounting Software Usage:

  • Use accounting tools like Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books for data entry, financial reporting, and account management.
  • Generate basic financial reports and assist in the analysis of data trends for clients.
  • Support in maintaining accurate records within the accounting software.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain organized records of client accounts, filings, and other relevant documents.
  • Prepare presentations and summaries for client meetings or internal reviews.
  • Monitor and follow up on pending tasks, ensuring timely completion.


Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Tally, GST, or Taxation courses) are a plus.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, client service, or related fields.
  • Exposure to tax filing, compliance, or financial reporting is preferred but not mandatory.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP).
  • Familiarity with tax filing platforms (e.g., GSTN Portal, Income Tax e-filing).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from senior team members.
