Job Purpose:
Oversees the entire software quality lifecycle, managing the QA team to develop and execute test strategies, enforce quality standards and ensure product quality.
Key responsibilities include leading test planning, automation, and execution for end to end and regression testing; collaborating with cross functional teams like development and product management; monitoring quality metrics and mentoring the QA team. He / She is also responsible for improving test processes and ensuring products meet both business and customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Team and strategy leadership: Lead, Mentor and develop team of QA engineers and SDETs
Test strategy and Execution: Develop and oversee the implementation of test strategies, including manual and automated test cases for functional, integration, system and end to end testing across various platforms.
Process and Quality Management: Define, Implement and enforce quality standards, policies and procedures. Drive continuous improvement in the testing lifecycle and implement automation to improve efficiency and early defect detection
Collaboration and communication: Work closely with development, product and other stakeholders to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle, resolve issues, and provide clear feedback.
Risk and compliance: Help identify and mitigate quality related risks and ensure products comply with relevant laws, regulations and company standards
Metrics and Reporting: Define, track and report on key quality metrics (e.g. bug rates, test coverage) and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Defect management: Enforce defect management procedures and oversee the root cause analysis ad resolution of identified issues.
Required skills and experience:
Proven experience in leading QA teams and managing the end-to-end testing life cycles.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) , software testing methodologies and test automation frameworks.
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is often required
Familiarity with quality metrics, reporting and a data driven approach to quality assurance.
