Hotel General Manager

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, profitability, guest satisfaction, and strategic growth of the hotel. The GM will lead all departments including front office, housekeeping, F&B, sales & marketing, finance, HR, and maintenance to achieve operational excellence, brand standards, and financial targets while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure smooth coordination among all departments
• Monitor service standards and implement procedures to enhance guest satisfaction
• Conduct regular property inspections for cleanliness, maintenance, and brand compliance
• Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and procurement needs

Guest Experience & Service Quality

• Ensure guests receive outstanding hospitality services with timely resolutions of complaints
• Review guest feedback from platforms such as TripAdvisor/Google/OTA portals and take corrective measures
• Train staff in guest service etiquette, communication, and hotel policies

Financial Performance & Budgeting

• Prepare annual budgets, revenue forecasts, and financial plans
• Monitor P&L statements, operational costs, and cost control measures
• Drive revenue growth through optimized pricing, upselling, and successful promotional strategies
• Develop and execute strategies to increase occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR

Sales, Marketing & Brand Positioning

• Work closely with sales & marketing teams to build brand visibility and drive business
• Develop relationships with travel agents, OTAs, corporate clients, and event planners
• Implement digital marketing, promotional campaigns, loyalty programmes, and seasonal offers

Team Leadership & Human Resources

• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate department heads & staff
• Manage employee performance, morale, and retention strategies
• Conduct regular staff meetings and training programs
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, payroll, and HR standards

Compliance, Safety & Legal

• Ensure adherence to local government regulations, licensing, and statutory compliance
• Maintain hygiene, safety, emergency procedures, and security protocols
• Oversee audits, FSSAI/food safety compliance, and risk management systems

Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Administration, or relevant field

Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in hotel operations, with 3–5 years in a managerial leadership role
• Experience in Boutique/Luxury/Business hotel segment preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
