Job Description

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Anandha Inn to achieve targets for revenue, profitability, guest satisfaction, and employee performance. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a focus on delivering a high-quality guest experience.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the hotel industry, with at least a few years in a managerial role (GM/AGM/Operations Manager).

Key Responsibilities Operations & Guest Experience

• Lead and manage daily hotel operations to maintain service quality and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee guest service standards, handle escalated guest issues, and ensure full compliance with brand expectations.
• Maintain the property’s quality, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Revenue & Financial Management

• Support revenue strategies by monitoring market trends, competitor pricing, and special events.
• Work closely with Sales/Revenue teams for rate strategy and promotions.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to meet financial targets.
• Ensure proper purchasing procedures and control of operational expenses.

Team Leadership & HR

• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop hotel staff.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, payroll management, and fair employee practices.
• Maintain a positive work environment, focusing on reducing employee turnover.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed.
• Maintain property standards to achieve strong scores on guest and product quality audits (e.g., Medallia).
• Uphold company policies related to ethics, conduct, and operations.

General Requirements

• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Hands-on experience with Opera Full Service and any other tool.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a high-pressure environment.
• Flexible to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as required.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; light lifting may be required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic hotel environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
