Head of Finance

Job Overview:

Our client is a leading player in calibration services, offering a comprehensive “one-stop shop” solution for customers in test and measurement (T&M) equipment, including verification, testing, calibration, and repair. Originally established in Europe, where it has built a strong leadership position, the Group has expanded rapidly across Asia Pacific over the past five years. To support this growth, it is now strengthening its presence in India.

To drive this next phase, they are seeking an India Head of Finance. This role will focus on delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring strong compliance, and acting as a key business partner to support sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities:

Cash Management and Compliance

• Implement, improve and manage cash management processes, including but not limited to Working Capital improvement and 13 weeks cash flow forecast
• Ensure full compliance with Group internal control rules (Code of Conduct, Ethic, Bribery, Cash, Business regulations, etc)
• Ensure accurate & timely compliance regarding tax and social security matters

Accounting & Financial Controls:

• Formally validate all “manual” booking transactions and reconciliation between operating systems and accounting
• Validate formally bank reconciliations
• Ensure all statutory and contractual obligations are properly fulfilled
• Ensure accrual basis accounting on all P&L positions is implemented monthly
• Ensure monthly preparation of balance sheet schedules & reconciliations
• Oversee the coordination and activities of external auditors and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with local regulations

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Analyse and interpret financial and operational data trends and provides insights and recommendations to APAC GM and CFO
• Prepare all monthly and quarterly reporting, including but not limited P&L, BS and FCF
• Develop and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts, and economic outlooks to guide strategic planning.
• Conduct variance analysis to evaluate financial performance against targets, identify trends, issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to provide financial guidance and support, ensuring financial strategies align with business goals
• Drive initiatives to improve finance operational processes
• Ensure that all acquisitions are rapidly integrated in Group Finance systems and processes and comply with internal policies

Requirements

• Min. 8 years of relevant experience in finance, experience in audit is preferred
• CPA or CA designation
• Proficiency in English is required to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders across global markets.
• Good knowledge on compliance matters and ability to enforce them
• Strong level of written and oral communication skills
• Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships
