Our clients are a leading, mid-sized real estate organisation based in Mumbai, catering to the high-end residential property in the upmarket suburbs of Mumbai. With over five decades of experience, the group has delivered more than 2 million sq. ft. across prime localities in Mumbai and Thane. Its ongoing and upcoming projects are strategically located across Mumbai. The enterprise is debt-free and preparing for an SME IPO in 2026.

Our clients are seeking a highly accomplished Finance Head based in the Mumbai suburbs to lead the finance function. Must be hands-on and have strong strategic & operational experience.

Ideal candidates must demonstrate high initiative, ownership, and integrity and possess a strong entrepreneurial drive and vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership & Governance

• Lead accounting, budgeting, forecasting, project planning, and financial reporting processes.
• Act as a financial advisor to the Board, CMD, and CEO on business growth, capital structuring, and profitability.
• Ensure robust internal controls, systems, and processes to maintain financial integrity.

• SME IPO & Compliance

• Drive and manage the

  SME IPO listing process

  , coordinating with merchant bankers, market makers, legal advisors, auditors, and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with

  RERA, GST, taxation, SEBI, Companies Act, and statutory audit requirements

  .
• Maintain strong relationships with regulators, statutory bodies, and financial institutions.

• Capital Management & Investor Relations

• Manage project finance, debt/equity funding, and JV structuring.
• Build and manage investor relations to ensure timely communication and transparency.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, collections, and cost optimisation across projects.

• Business Partnering & Strategic Insights

• Monitor project profitability and provide management with insights/reports to inform decision-making.
• Collaborate with the project, sales, legal, and operations teams for seamless financial planning.
• Support leadership in fundraising, M&A opportunities, and capital structuring.

• Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the internal finance, accounts, and admin team.
• Build a performance-driven culture that emphasises accountability, governance, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Education

  : Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.

• Experience

  :
• Minimum

  15 years of finance leadership

  experience.
• At least

  5–7 years in the real estate sector

  .
• Proven track record in

  IPO listing, compliance, project finance, taxation, treasury, and investor relations

  .

• Skills

  :
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, real estate regulations, JV structuring, and capital markets.
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Hands-on execution with the ability to manage day-to-day finance and accounting activities.
• Familiarity with financial systems, technology adoption, and automation in finance.
