Job Title: Head – Finance & Accounts (DGM / GM Level)

Job Summary

The Head – Finance & Accounts will lead the finance function of the hospital, ensuring robust financial controls, statutory compliance, accurate reporting, and strategic financial planning. The role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of hospital finance operations, and hands-on experience in managing large finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, and finalization of accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure timely MIS, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for hospital operations.
  • Manage cash flows, working capital, and fund utilization effectively.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and taxation requirements (Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, etc.).
  • Coordinate and manage internal, statutory, and tax audits.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.

Hospital-Specific Financial Operations

  • Monitor revenue cycle management including billing, collections, insurance, and TPA settlements.
  • Control and optimize hospital costs including procurement, pharmacy, and consumables.
  • Analyze department-wise profitability and support operational heads with financial insights.

Budgeting & Strategic Support

  • Lead annual budgeting and long-term financial planning.
  • Support management in strategic decision-making, expansion plans, and capital expenditure evaluations.
  • Develop and strengthen internal control systems and SOPs.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the finance & accounts team.
  • Ensure proper allocation of work, performance management, and team development.
  • Build a culture of compliance, accuracy, and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification:

    CA-Inter / Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Experience:

    Minimum 10+ years in Finance & Accounts
  • At least

    5 years of team-handling experience

  • Industry Experience:

    Mandatory hospital / healthcare sector experience

  • Age Range:

    40–45 years

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of hospital accounting, taxation, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with hospital billing systems, HIS, and ERP software
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • High integrity and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits

  • CTC:

    ₹20–25 Lakhs per annum (commensurate with experience and capability)
  • Performance-based incentives as applicable
