We are #hiring! Position: Head of Finance and Operations Organisation: A social sector Consulting Firm Experience: 12 to 15 years CTC: 35 - 40 LPA Location: Remote - with frequent travel. Responsibilities: Financial & Governance Leadership (Primary Focus) Lead All Aspects Of Financial Strategy And Operations, Including Budgeting, Forecasting, Compliance, And Grants Management. Working Closely With Leadership, EnsurING Financial Systems Are Robust, Aligned With Organizational Goals, And Enable Data-driven Decision-making. Key Responsibilities Include: Provide strategic oversight to all financial operations including multi-year budgeting, financial forecasting, scenario planning, and audit readiness. Design and drive systems to ensure compliance with all statutory regulations (TDS, GST, FCRA, 80G, 12A, etc.), working closely with the legal and CA partners. Guide and mentor the Finance team to ensure timely and accurate execution of core financial functions (e.g., invoicing, collections, reimbursements, vendor management). Partner with leadership to develop financial policies and internal controls that align with Project Tech4Dev’s vision for growth and resilience. Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support data-driven decision-making and resource allocation. Oversee grants management, including tracking restricted funding, donor reporting, and ensuring financial stewardship of partner funds. Strengthen and optimize financial systems to build operational efficiency, financial health visibility, and transparency. Support donor pitch decks and proposals, advisory board/board member engagements and cross-functional collaboration. Talent, People & Operations Provide Strategic Leadership Across Talent, People, And Operations Functions To Foster An Inclusive, High-performing Culture And Ensure Smooth Program Delivery. Key Responsibilities Include: Lead the Talent function to ensure HR practices (contracts, PF, insurance) and compliance align with T4D’s values and long-term goals. Support a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and engagement through effective performance management and internal communications. Oversee logistics, travel, procurement, and vendor partnerships to enable efficient operations that support team productivity and program needs. Ensure internal policies and statutory compliance (labor laws, contracts, registrations) are up-to-date and effectively implemented. Continuously strengthen administrative systems for adaptability and transparency in a remote-first environment. Work Location and Travel Work remotely from anywhere in India only Required Travel every quarter for a week for team meeting Required to travel to events and meetings as per the need of the position, typically once or twice a quarter Skills & Competencies Minimum 12–15 years of overall experience, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role overseeing finance and operations functions. Financial Leadership(Core Focus) – Strong understanding of financial operations, strategy, compliance, and risk management. 3.
