Job Description: General Manager - Operations - Textile company Location: Bangalore Experience Required: 6-12 Years Role Overview: The General Manager - Operations will oversee and optimize the business operations of a textile trading company. This role involves managing logistics, shipments, administration, and operations across three warehouses and office locations in Bangalore. The candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination and execution of daily operations while supporting the company's strategic objectives. Responsibilities: Business Operations: Monitor and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and smooth logistics operations. Manage day-to-day business operations across warehouses and offices, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Develop and implement operational strategies to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency. Warehouse & Inventory Management: Oversee the operations of three warehouses, ensuring proper inventory control, stock accuracy, and compliance with company policies. Coordinate with warehouse teams to optimize storage and distribution. Logistics and Shipment Coordination: Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure efficient transport of goods. Address and resolve shipping or delivery challenges promptly. Office Administration: Manage office operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Supervise office staff and support teams, both full-time and contractual. Team Management: Lead and motivate teams across warehouses and offices to achieve operational excellence. Foster a collaborative and goal-oriented work culture. Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare and analyze reports related to inventory, shipments, and operational efficiency. Utilize MS Excel and other tools to track performance metrics and present insights for decision-making. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to warehousing, logistics, and operations. Identify potential risks in operations and implement corrective measures. Qualifications: Educational Background: Minimum Qualification: B.A, B.Tech, MBA, or any relevant graduation. Experience: 6-12 years of experience, with 4-7 years in operations within the textile or related industry. Prior experience managing multiple office or warehouse locations in a trading or logistics-focused environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel is essential. Knowledge of logistics software or ERP systems is a plus. Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve issues effectively. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience in a textile or related industry. Proven track record of handling diverse operational challenges in a fast-paced trading or logistics environment.
