General Manager Finance

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business objectives.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business growth.
  

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, cash flow management, payables/receivables, and general ledger management.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with statutory and internal requirements.
  

• Lead internal audit activities and coordinate third-party audits to ensure robust internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory laws and regulations, including GST, TDS, income tax, and company law.
• Establish and maintain internal control systems, identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks.
  

• Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, legal counsel, and tax authorities.
• Present financial insights to the board, investors, and senior management.
  

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
• Promote a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  

Key Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounts.
• Prior experience working in startups, or real estate is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, MIS reporting, taxation, compliance, and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated experience in handling internal and third-party audits.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
  

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience setting up financial processes and systems in a high-growth or early-stage organization.
• Knowledge of company secretarial functions, legal, or regulatory frameworks is a plus.
• Exposure to fundraising, investor relations is an advantage.
