Job Description

Position:

General Manager – Finance & Accounts

Qualification:

Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory

Experience:

15–18 years with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Reporting To:

Executive Director – Infrastructure & Constructions

The General Manager – Finance & Accounts will lead the organization’s financial governance, statutory compliance, strategic planning, cost management, and financial reporting. This role requires strong business acumen, deep technical expertise, and the ability to support senior leadership in driving financial performance and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis • Provide strategic insights to support decision-making • Partner with management to drive profitability and cost efficiency

Accounting & Compliance

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, FEMA, and industry regulations • Lead statutory, tax, and internal audits; coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies

Treasury & Fund Management

• Manage working capital, liquidity, and cash flow • Handle banking relationships, credit lines, and fundraising initiatives • Monitor and mitigate forex exposure

MIS & Reporting

• Build robust MIS dashboards and reporting systems • Provide timely financial reports to senior management and the board • Support investor presentations and strategy discussions

Team Leadership & Governance

• Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team • Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and governance frameworks • Ensure ethical and compliant financial practices

Requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Ind AS/IFRS, expertise in taxation, financial strategy, corporate laws, cost control, leadership capabilities, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Preferred Background

CA with 15–18 years of experience in finance leadership. Exposure to corporate finance, fundraising, investor relations, and experience in infrastructure, real estate, manufacturing, or large diversified groups.
