The purpose of this job is to drive and coordinate the business planning and budgeting process across functions. This role translates the finalized business plan into detailed operating plans and budgets in consultation with teams across the business. It serves to design and drive comprehensive MIS frameworks customized to different functions and lines of business. Additionally this role also provides periodic and need-based reports on business performance, budgetary adherence, industry/ competitor analysis, data analytics, etc. to senior management

ABC Digital is developing an omni-channel based D2C platform (website and app) to acquire new customers and serve them seamlessly. In addition, ABC Digital has started a virtual engagement management through inbound and outbound calling. Key Aspects:
The Finance and Accounts department manages the entire accounting, budgeting, planning, MIS and Compliance systems of the company and is responsible for depicting true state of affairs of the business & fulfilling all statutory obligations for business continuance
Team Lead – Planning & MIS is responsible for leading the business planning and budgeting process for the company, and is responsible for creating the MIS framework and methodology for effective tracking, financial control and reporting of key business performance parameters.
Key Challenges
To drive timely availability of accurate information in desired formats, maintaining consistency across different functions and ensuring data currency and integrity
To meet stiff reporting timelines and ensuring extensive coverage of all key reporting metrics as per requirements of different stakeholders/ reports
Driving pan-organization planning and budgeting processes by coordinating with diverse stakeholders across functions influencing them to provide necessary data/ inputs towards ensuring process completion as per desired standards and timelines
Inadequate system automation and integration for robust data management and convenient access
Delivering ad-hoc reports/ presentations for senior business stakeholders/ management on critical areas within a short time span
Enabling Skill Sets & Qualifications
Critical skill sets required to meet these challenges are strong Analytical and Presentation skills, strong Business and Financial acumen, evolved Stakeholder Management and Influencing skills, and superior MIS related IT skills.
Education & experience required to fulfil this profile are a CA/ MBA – Finance with minimum 3-4yrs of experience in managing accounting operations in a bank/ NBFC/ HFC

Business Planning, Budgeting & MIS framework design
Design and finalize a framework for annual business planning and budgeting in consultation with the finane head and senior management
Establish a process of finalizing and analyzing business plans, interfacing with different functions and collating the required information in a structured manner so as to enable a detailed operating plan.
Establish and roll-out a systematic process for compiling business plans and planned budgets in an efficient manner, to enable subsequent analysis and MIS tracking.
Liaise with relevant business stakeholders to devise and finalize branch profitability models.
Design and disseminate MIS & reporting formats to provide accurate information in a clear and concise manner, ensuring adoption and adherence for standardized reporting across the organization

Business Strategy Execution
Carry out an impact assessment of key business strategies and provide inputs accordingly to senior management.
Hold periodic meetings with function heads and budget holders to review progress on business objectives and budgetary adherence, highlighting areas requiring attention/ course correction
Build insights through data analytics, sensitivity analysis, scenario building and other tools, to provide decision support to key stakeholders and business leaders

MIS, Reporting and Presentations to Management
Create/ Review relevant Business MIS for regular decision making, awareness and financial control, providing information to senior management/ management
Create/ Review quantitative and qualitative variance reports of Budgets Vs Actuals and present to budget holders and management
Highlight key exceptions, variances, etc. with details and record the actionable against them, if any; track completion of finalized action steps
Create a repository of all critical reports, information and MIS generated during the course of the business year
Make presentations to senior management on business performance, annual plan, data analytics, etc.

Business Strategy Refinement
Conduct periodic/ on-demand competitor analysis, industry and macro-economic research and make presentations to management on key trends and factors impacting current and future business
Track progress against medium and long term strategic goals in the context of the evolving market scenario, and present key insights to management/ business leaders for strategy re-alignment and refinement
