SUMMARY This strategic role is pivotal in driving financial performance insights by leading the preparation and analysis of monthly P&L, scenario planning, budget preparation, expense tracking, and providing decision-support analytics across stores and regions. The incumbent will play a crucial part in enabling strategic business decisions through data-backed financial insights. Financial Reporting & P&L Management Provide monthly data on growth/ degrowth trends (MTD & YTD). • Conduct sales, margin, and profitability analysis across stores/divisions/departments. • Analyse function-wise expenses and deviations. • Evaluate store performance including LFL/NLFL/NSO profitability. • Identify and report root causes for loss-making stores. • Share actionable variance reports within two working days of trial balance closure. • Track license renewals and operational cost deviations (rent, power, warehouse, etc.) Expense & Provision Management Validate GL entries and ensure accurate provisions with timely submission to RCM • Track provision status and ensure timely submission to RCM. Conduct cost per sq. ft analysis and prepare stock-related MIS. • Generate exception reports (provision vs. actuals, PO vs. PR, etc.) Scenario Planning & Store-Level Support Assist in creating projected P&L for rent negotiations and store-level profitability. Provide on-demand financial analysis to aid strategic business decisions. New Store Proposals (IRR Analysis) • Prepare and validate IRR for new store openings (NSO). • Submit timely and accurate insights for management approval. • Prepare cluster-level P&Ls as needed. Financial Budgeting • Track and analyse expenses trends, stock turns, GMROI, markdowns, and obsolescence. • Monitor actuals vs. budget performance with detailed variance analysis. • Support area planning and rent agreement renewals. Promotion and CBA Support Evaluate pre-and post-performance of regional promotions and marketing campaigns. Validate regional CBA with insights for RCM. Cross-Department Support • Collaborate with HR, Marketing, and Store teams during key initiatives (festive seasons, anchoring). • Provide timely insights and data support to other departments
