Vigocare is looking for a hands-on Accounts Manager to lead our accounting operations in India. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in Indian GAAP, be strong in receivables and cash flow management, and capable of driving timely invoicing, collections follow-up, and audit support. This role is critical to maintaining financial discipline in a growing, cross-functional setup.
1. Monthly book closure
- Ensure timely monthly book closure.
- Possess hands-on experience in closing activities related to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Payroll, and necessary closing journal vouchers (JVs).-Ensure the Trial Balance (TB) is frozen before preparation of the monthly MIS and avoid backed entries.
- Manage a small team and drive accounts operation.
2. Invoicing & Receivables
- Ensure timely and accurate raising of invoices as per agreed commercial terms.
- Track that invoices are shared promptly with customers (directly or via sales team).
- Follow up on receivables by coordinating with the respective sales/account managers.
- Monitor ageing reports, escalate delays, and ensure adherence to credit periods.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
3. Cash Flow Management
- Prepare and update weekly and monthly cash flow projections.
- Provide advance alerts to management on shortfalls or surplus.
- Liaise with internal teams on fund planning and payment scheduling.
4. Payables & Expense Management
- Oversee vendor payments and ensure they are within due cycles.
- Manage employee reimbursements and other outflows with proper documentation.
5. Team Management
- Lead and supervise a team of 4 accountants.
- Set goals, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to timelines and accuracy.
6. Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure TDS, GST, PF, ESI, and other statutory filings are done on time.
- Coordinate and support statutory and internal audits with necessary documentation and reconciliations.
- Maintain compliance with Indian accounting standards and internal controls.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, operations, and leadership teams for seamless finance operations.
- Provide input on pricing, customer terms, and collection follow-ups from a finance lens.
Bachelor’s/master’s in commerce plus CA Inter or MBA Finance preferred.
5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, receivable/payable workflows, financial controls and MS office.
Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
Experience in leading a small team and working in a fast-paced environment.
