Job Summary The Manager Finance will be responsible for managing plant and corporate finance operations including accounting, costing, MIS, budgeting, statutory compliance, taxation, audits, and internal controls. The role requires strong exposure to manufacturing finance , particularly process industries such as pigments, paints, or chemicals , and hands-on coordination with plant operations at Vapi and Sarigam. Key Responsibilities 1. Accounts & Financial Reporting Manage day-to-day accounting operations of plants Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books. Preparation and review of P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with Ind-AS / Accounting Standards . 2. Costing & Manufacturing Finance Oversee product costing , batch costing, and standard costing. Monitor RM, utilities, yield, recovery, and conversion cost. Analyze cost variances and suggest corrective actions. Support pricing decisions for domestic & export sales. 3. Budgeting & Cost Control Assist in preparation of annual budgets and capex plans. Track budget vs. actual performance and highlight deviations. Implement cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives. 4. Statutory Compliance & Taxation Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESIC , and other statutory requirements. Oversee timely filing of returns and assessments. Coordinate with tax consultants and statutory authorities. 5. MIS & Management Reporting Prepare and circulate MIS related to: Plant performance Cost & contribution margins Inventory & working capital Receivables & payables Provide analytical support to management for decision-making. 6. Audit & Internal Controls Coordinate internal and statutory audits. Ensure implementation of strong internal financial controls. Support closure of audit observations and compliance issues. 7. Treasury & Working Capital Monitor cash flows, fund utilization, and banking transactions. Track receivables, credit limits, and customer ageing. Coordinate with banks for routine operational requirements. 8. SAP & Systems Work closely with IT/SAP team for finance-related modules. Ensure proper accounting and control over inventory, procurement, and sales processes. Support system automation and process improvements. 9. Team Coordination Lead and guide plant and corporate accounts staff. Ensure accuracy, discipline, and timely execution of finance processes. Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to team members.
