About the job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Controller/Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations across our Singapore, India, Malaysia, and Thailand entities. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Xero /other modern accounting software and possess a strong understanding of international statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including invoicing, accounts receivable (AR) collection, and expense management using Xero.
  • Manage vendor payments and employee reimbursement processes, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with all local statutory requirements across Singapore, India, Malaysia, and Thailand, including tax filings and regulatory reporting.
  • Consolidate financial statements for the group, providing a comprehensive view of the company's financial performance.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive financial reports for effective financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, with a strong emphasis on cash flow management.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and monitor headcount utilization to support strategic decision-making.
  • External Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors (BOD) and investors.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners, ensuring efficient banking operations and access to financial services.
  • Liaise with external outsourcing/other vendors, facilitating audits and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
  • Maintain positive relationships with key suppliers, ensuring smooth transactions and favorable terms.

Requirement and Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with regional responsibilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Xero and other modern accounting software.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS, local GAAP).
  • Proven track record of managing statutory compliance across multiple countries (Singapore, India, Malaysia, Thailand).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with cash flow focused budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience in dealing with external auditors and bankers.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with IT services or project based billing models.
  • Knowledge of project costing and time tracking tools.
