Job Description

A Finance Manager at PNB MetLife is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, analysis, reporting, and ensuring the company’s financial compliance. The role also oversees revenue forecasting, expense control, audit coordination, and supports strategic business decisions through strong financial insights. Key Responsibilities1. Financial Planning & BudgetingPrepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans. Monitor budget vs. actual performance and highlight variances. Support management in long-term financial strategy and planning. 2. Financial Analysis & ReportingAnalyze business performance, profitability, and cost efficiencies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Present MIS reports, dashboards, and financial insights to senior management. 3. Accounting & ComplianceEnsure accurate accounting entries as per company policies. Oversee financial audits (internal & external). Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, taxation laws, and statutory norms. 4. Expense Control & Cost ManagementTrack operational expenses and implement cost-saving measures. Review vendor payments, reimbursements, and financial approvals. Ensure proper financial discipline across business functions. 5. Risk ManagementIdentify financial risks and recommend mitigating controls. Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and internal controls. Monitor solvency, liquidity, and financial health of the business unit. 6. Business SupportPartner with sales, operations, and distribution teams for financial insights. Support decision-making for new projects, insurance products, and investments. Evaluate business proposals from a financial viewpoint. Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of financial planning, MIS, and accounting. Expertise in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis. Good understanding of insurance industry regulations (IRDAI). Strong communication, leadership, and analytical thinking. Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Eligibility & RequirementsQualification: MBA (Finance) / CA / CMA / M.Com (preferred). 3–7 years of experience in finance, insurance, or BFSI sector. Good knowledge of accounting standards and compliance laws. Experience with ERP/financial software is an added advantage.
