Finance Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of our fine dine restaurant group with multiple outlets in Trivandrum. The ideal candidate will ensure strong financial governance, operational efficiency, and profitability across all locations. This role requires close coordination with the management team to drive informed financial decisions, ensure compliance, and support the group’s growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Planning

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes aligned with the group’s business objectives.
• Develop mid- and long-term financial models to guide expansion, investment, and cost optimization decisions.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions by management and outlet heads.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports including MIS, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST, income tax laws, and other statutory requirements relevant to the hospitality sector.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government authorities for audits and filings.

Operational Financial Management

• Supervise day-to-day financial operations across all outlets, including vendor payments, payroll, petty cash management, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor and control cost centers such as food cost, labor cost, and overheads to ensure profitability.
• Maintain effective cash flow management and working capital control for smooth operations.
• Review and improve financial policies, SOPs, and internal controls across outlets.

Business Support & Analysis

• Conduct financial analysis, variance tracking, and cost-benefit evaluations for new initiatives or outlet expansions.
• Support outlet managers and the operations team in performance analysis, cost control, and pricing strategies.
• Identify risks, trends, and opportunities to improve financial performance.

Team Leadership & Systems Management

• Lead, guide, and develop the finance and accounts team across outlets.
• Promote automation and digitalization of finance processes including billing, inventory, and reporting systems.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting across all units.

Key Objectives

• Strengthen financial control and governance across all restaurant outlets.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting for management review.
• Enhance cost efficiency, margin improvement, and return on investment.
• Support the group’s long-term financial stability and growth plans.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce; CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in financial management within the hospitality or restaurant sector.
• Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations, taxation (GST, TDS), and accounting standards.
• Expertise in Tally ERP, Excel, and restaurant management systems (POS/inventory software).

Proven track record in budgeting, cost analysis, and cash flow management.
