Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate books in

    Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks / ERPNext / SAP B1

  • Manage day-to-day transactions: vendor payments, invoicing, reconciliations
  • Build

    real-time dashboards

    in Google Sheets/Excel/BI tools

2. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure timely

    GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and ROC filings

  • Stay compliant with

    MCA, Startup India, RBI, SEBI

    regulations (as applicable)
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams

3. Investor Relations & Reporting

  • Prepare

    MIS reports

    (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Support founders with

    investor decks, due diligence, and board reporting

  • Manage

    cap table, ESOP records, and investor communication

4. Cash Flow & Treasury

  • Monitor

    burn rate, runway, and working capital

  • Manage banking, vendor negotiations, and credit lines
  • Establish

    internal controls & approval workflows

5. Tech-Driven Finance Operations

  • Use tools like

    RazorpayX, Airbase, Zoho Expense, Slack/Notion integrations

  • Automate reconciliation, expense management, and reporting
  • Set up

    scalable finance SOPs

    for hypergrowth

6. Strategic Finance (Growth Path)

  • Partner with founders on

    budgeting, forecasting, and fundraising strategy

  • Provide insights on

    unit economics, CAC vs LTV, and revenue modeling

  • Grow into

    Finance Controller / CFO role

    as the company scales


Requirements

Education

  • CA / CA Inter / Semi-qualified CA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com
  • Articleship or startup finance experience preferred

Experience

  • 2–6 years in

    finance & accounting

    (preferably in startups, SaaS, or high-growth companies)
  • Hands-on with

    compliance, taxation & investor reporting

Skills

  • Proficient in

    Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, ERP systems

  • Advanced

    Excel/Google Sheets

    & financial modeling
  • Strong understanding of

    startup metrics

    (burn, ARR, runway, EBITDA)
  • Excellent communication with founders, investors & auditors

  • Tech-first mindset

    with eagerness to adopt automation tools
