Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled ERP Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale ERP initiatives.The role requires deep expertise in project management methodologies, enterprise system implementations, and ERP lifecycle management.The ideal candidate will own the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of ERP programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, technical standards, and compliance requirements.This role demands an individual who can combine technical leadership, domain expertise, and stakeholder management to deliver ERP projects within strict timelines and budgets while maintaining quality and scalability.
Key Responsibilities : Planning & Governance :
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop detailed project charters, schedules, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), RACI matrix, and budget frameworks.
- Establish governance models for ERP rollouts including steering committee updates, escalation paths, and risk/issue registers.
- Ensure ERP implementations comply with industry standards (ISO, ITIL, SOX, GDPR where applicable).
Execution & Delivery
- Lead ERP program execution across Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing modules
or custom enterprise solutions.
- Coordinate cross-functional technical teams, business analysts, architects, and vendors.
- Implement agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies based on project needs.
- Track milestones using project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow, or
equivalent.
- Drive system integration projects with legacy applications, middleware, and APIs.
Technical & Risk Management
- Conduct impact analysis of ERP customizations, upgrades, and patches.
- Oversee data migration strategy (ETL, data mapping, validation, and reconciliation).
- Perform risk assessments including business continuity, disaster recovery, and data security
concerns.
- Drive system performance testing, UAT, regression testing, and cutover planning.
- Implement change control procedures and ensure minimal downtime during releases.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the single point of contact between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
- Present project progress reports, risk mitigation plans, and status dashboards to CXOs and senior leadership.
- Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and vendor deliverables.
Leadership & Team Management
- Mentor and guide project team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and resolve conflicts within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Drive training initiatives and knowledge transfer sessions for ERP end-users.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- ERP Platforms : SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or equivalent ERP solutions.
- Project Management Tools : MS Project, Jira, Asana, Trello, or similar.
- Databases & Integration : Strong understanding of RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
- Methodologies : Agile (Scrum, Kanban), Waterfall, Hybrid PM models.
- Risk & Compliance : Experience with ITIL, SOX, ISO 27001, GDPR, and enterprise security frameworks.
- Technical Acumen : Understanding of ERP architecture, system integrations, data models, and cloud-hosted ERP solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Other Skills : Budget control, vendor negotiation, advanced reporting, and KPI-driven delivery management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or related discipline.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or PMI-ACP certification is strongly preferred.
- ITIL certification or ERP-specific certifications (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) are an added advantage
