Role Overview As an Equity Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Altius’s investment strategy by conducting in-depth research, analyzing company fundamentals, and delivering actionable insights on unlisted and pre-IPO opportunities. This role demands strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex insights effectively. Key Responsibilities Research & Analysis - Conduct thorough research on unlisted and pre-IPO companies, including financial statement analysis and industry trends. - Assess competitive positioning, growth potential, and risk-reward profiles. - Monitor regulatory changes and market dynamics. Financial Modeling & Valuation - Build and maintain sophisticated financial models. - Perform valuations using multiple methodologies (e.g., Relative valuation). - Analyze key financial ratios and metrics to support investment decisions. Reporting & Communication - Prepare detailed research reports, executive summaries, and investor presentations. - Communicate findings clearly to the investment committee and support investor interactions. - Develop pitch decks and sector analysis for business development. Investment Opportunity Identification - Identify and evaluate high-potential investment targets. - Analyze management quality, corporate governance, and technological advantages. Qualifications & Experience - Education: MBA in Finance or CFA certification. - Experience: Candidates with an MBA in Finance will be highly considered. - Academic Background: Strong foundation in finance, economics, or related fields. Technical Skills - Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling. - Expertise in financial statement analysis and valuation techniques. - Familiarity with data visualization tools and statistical analysis software. - Proficiency in PowerPoint for investor presentations. Soft Skills - Exceptional communication and presentation skills. - Ability to simplify complex financial data for diverse audiences. - Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving. - Team-oriented with adaptability to dynamic market conditions. Post-Selection Requirement Selected candidates will be required to submit a project assignment on a company assigned by Altius. Details of the assignment will be provided after the interview process is completed.
