As an Equity Research Analyst at Altius Investech, you will be instrumental in shaping the investment strategy by conducting thorough research, analyzing company fundamentals, and providing actionable insights on unlisted and pre-IPO opportunities. Your role will require strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and effective communication abilities to convey complex insights efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting in-depth research on unlisted and pre-IPO companies, analyzing financial statements, evaluating industry trends, assessing competitive positioning, growth potential, and risk-reward profiles. Additionally, you will be monitoring regulatory changes and market dynamics to stay abreast of the evolving landscape. In the realm of financial modeling and valuation, you will be tasked with building and maintaining sophisticated financial models, performing valuations using various methodologies, and analyzing key financial ratios and metrics to support investment decisions. Your role will also involve preparing detailed research reports, executive summaries, and investor presentations. You will be expected to effectively communicate your findings to the investment committee, provide support during investor interactions, and develop pitch decks and sector analysis for business development purposes. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating high-potential investment targets, analyzing management quality, corporate governance, and technological advantages to facilitate informed decision-making. To excel in this role, you should possess an MBA in Finance or a CFA certification, along with 1-2 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or financial analysis. Candidates with an MBA in Finance will be given preference. A strong foundation in finance, economics, or related fields is essential. In terms of technical skills, you should have advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, expertise in financial statement analysis and valuation techniques, familiarity with data visualization tools and statistical analysis software, and proficiency in PowerPoint for investor presentations. Soft skills such as exceptional communication and presentation abilities, the capacity to simplify complex financial data for diverse audiences, strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role. Additionally, being team-oriented and adaptable to dynamic market conditions will be beneficial. Selected candidates will be required to complete a project assignment on a company designated by Altius post the interview process. This assignment will further demonstrate your capabilities and understanding of the role.
