Manager in Software Development Engineering

Responsibilities

• Team Building & Leadership:

  Build and lead a

  high-performing team

  of software engineers, applying your experience in

  screening, interviewing, and growing talent

  . Coach and mentor engineers at all levels, fostering

  career development, performance evaluations, and continuous learning

  .

• Technical Excellence:

  Apply

  industry best practices and emerging technologies

  (AI/ML, cloud, modern frameworks) to improve

  production quality, system performance, and scalability

  . Ensure

  technical integrity and stability

  of deployed features, balancing innovation with reliability.

• Architecture & Delivery:

  Lead

  design, analysis, development, and deployment

  of enterprise-grade full-stack applications. Collaborate with

  developers, product managers, and DevOps

  in an

  Agile/SAFe environment

  to deliver scalable, flexible, and supportable solutions. Evaluate team projects, identify skill gaps, and align expertise with business goals.

• AI-led SDLC & Cloud:

  Drive the adoption of

  AI tools

  (e.g., automated testing, code reviews, generative AI) to enhance productivity and innovation. Leverage

  cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

  and modern

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for seamless delivery.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  Partner with cross-functional teams to

  estimate, prioritize, and deliver

  on shared objectives. Recognize and reward team contributions, fostering a

  collaborative, high-performance culture

  .

Requirements

• Education & Experience:

  Bachelor’s or Master’s in

  Computer Science

  (or equivalent experience).

  10+ years

  in software engineering, with

  3+ years

  in

  engineering management/director roles

  .

• Technical Skills:

  Hands-on expertise in

  AI

  and

  full-stack development

  (e.g., Experience using AI in SDLC, LLM (frontier models), React/Angular, Node.js/Java/Spring, Python). Strong grasp of

  software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems

  . Experience with

  large-scale, internet-scale applications

  and

  cloud-native architectures

  .

• Leadership & Soft Skills:

  Proven ability to

  lead technical teams

  , including hiring, coaching, and performance management. Excellent

  communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  . Ability to thrive in a

  dynamic, global environment

  and mentor teams across time zones.

• AI & Agile Mindset:

  Familiarity with

  AI/ML tools in SDLC

  (e.g., GitHub Copilot, automated testing). Experience with

  Agile/SAFe frameworks

  and

  modern DevOps practices
