Location - Pune About The Role As an EHS Lead at JLL, you will spearhead environmental health and safety initiatives for our prestigious IT client in Pune. This hands-on position combines technical expertise with practical implementation to ensure robust EHS standards across their facilities. You'll execute comprehensive EHS programs that protect personnel, assets, and the environment while ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities Program Implementation & Maintenance Implement and maintain EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards Conduct internal EHS audits and coordinate external audits to ensure compliance Support continuous improvement initiatives through data collection and analysis Compliance Management Monitor and ensure adherence to local, state, and national EHS regulations applicable to IT facilities Liaise with regulatory authorities for permits, inspections, and compliance matters Perform regular compliance checks and implement corrective actions Risk Assessment & Safety Implementation Conduct comprehensive facility risk assessments covering workplace, fire, and environmental hazards Implement and monitor control measures to mitigate identified risks Oversee fire safety systems maintenance and emergency response preparedness Incident Investigation Lead thorough investigations of safety incidents using established methodologies Implement corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence Document and report incidents to relevant stakeholders as required Training & Awareness Deliver EHS training programs to employees and contractors Create and distribute safety communication materials to enhance awareness Provide guidance to site teams on EHS best practices Performance Monitoring & Reporting Track and analyze EHS performance metrics and KPIs Prepare regular reports showcasing performance trends and compliance status Utilize digital tools for effective EHS data management Specialized Safety Areas Implement food safety protocols for cafeteria operations in accordance with FSSAI guidelines Coordinate transport safety measures for employee commute Monitor workplace ergonomics and indoor environmental quality Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS roles, with experience in IT/commercial facilities Lead Auditor certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Strong knowledge of Indian EHS regulations and their practical application Experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations Good communication skills with ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders Proficiency in MS Office and EHS documentation systems Preferred Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Experience implementing EHS programs in multinational companies Knowledge of sustainability practices and green building standards Experience with digital EHS solutions and data analytics Track record of successful regulatory inspections management Experience in food safety and transport safety management At JLL, we create diverse and inclusive workplaces where all employees are valued.
