We are now looking for a EHS and Maintenance Engineer - Technical Centre, Bangalore We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS and Maintenance Engineer to oversee and manage the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and ensure the efficient maintenance operations across our automotive bearing manufacturing plant, test centre, and technical centre in Bengaluru. This role requires a strong understanding of both EHS regulations and maintenance best practices within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS policies and procedures, as well as planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities to optimize equipment uptime and minimize operational risks. Key responsibilities (or What you can expect in the role) EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety): Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, national, and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Ensure all EHS permits, licenses, and registrations are current and compliant. Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues. Incident Management: Investigate all EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Coordinate with production teams to prioritize repairs and schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruption. Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and implement long-term solutions. Spares Management: Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels for critical components and optimizing procurement processes. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for maintenance process improvements, equipment upgrades, and cost reduction initiatives. Qualifications: 10 years of progressive experience in EHS and Maintenance roles within an automotive manufacturing environment, preferably in bearing manufacturing or a similar precision engineering industry. Proven experience with manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, grinding, heat treatment, assembly, and quality control. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing EHS programs, conducting risk assessments, and incident investigation. Hands-on experience with various maintenance techniques (preventive, predictive, corrective) and familiarity with CMMS. Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with test centre equipment and technical centre machinery is a significant advantage.
