In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP and UK taxation frameworks, including end-to-end bookkeeping, VAT, PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions, with the ability to interpret and work on FRS 105, FRS 102-1A, and FRS 102, in complex client scenarios. Extensive experience in reviewing and finalizing financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client business objectives. Strategic oversight of accounting operations, ensuring that internal review and quality control processes are consistently followed and continuously improved. Proven leadership in developing and mentoring multiple teams, providing guidance, training, and performance management to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth. Advanced review capabilities across all accounting areas — including end to end bookkeeping, year-end reconciliations (bank, VAT, payroll, intercompany), Corporation Tax (CT600), and Self-Assessment tax returns — ensuring all submissions meet compliance and quality standards. Strong analytical and advisory skills, offering clients strategic insights on financial performance, business planning, and process optimization. Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management, with an ability to support long-term financial strategy and growth planning for clients. Effective stakeholder and client management, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication, issue resolution, and strategic financial guidance. Ability to implement and monitor process improvements, driving efficiency, standardization, and the adoption of new technologies or automation tools within the team. Commitment to continuous learning, keeping the team updated on evolving UK accounting practices, legislation, and digital accounting systems. Experience managing multiple teams in a hybrid or remote working environment, ensuring productivity, engagement, and alignment with organizational goals.
