Position Overview


Airtouch Solar India Pvt. Ltd.


The ideal candidate must have a strong track record in capital equipment sales for utility-scale solar PV plants, along with established relationships across EPCs, developers, IPPs, and major industry stakeholders. This senior leadership role involves regional strategy development, direct sales ownership, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. The position is based in Mumbai and requires extensive regional travel.

Key Responsibilities


1. Regional Sales Leadership

  • Drive sales strategy, business targets, and regional performance.
  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with overall growth goals.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline for utility-scale PV opportunities.
  • Ensure timely closure of high-value commercial deals.


2. Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with EPC contractors, developers, consultants, and key decision-makers.
  • Lead customer meetings, presentations, tenders, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic regional customers.


3. Market Expansion & Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in the West and South region.
  • Track market developments, competitor positioning, and pricing trends to support strategic decisions.


4. Technical & Commercial Expertise

  • Provide consultative selling based on detailed understanding of project requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams—including technical, operations, product, and finance—to ensure smooth proposal development and project execution.


5. Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with a lean national sales structure and support inter-departmental coordination.
  • Mentor junior sales members (if applicable) and contribute to a high-performance team culture.


6. Industry Representation

  • Represent Airtouch at solar exhibitions, conferences, trade shows, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility across the West region

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10–12 years of proven experience in equipment sales like robots, inverters etc. to the utility-scale solar industry.
  • Strong exposure to West and South India markets preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of managing high-value accounts, long sales cycles, and large-scale project sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or an equivalent technical field.
  • MBA or post-graduate qualification in Business Management is highly desirable.


Technical Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of solar PV plant operations, procurement cycles, and technical evaluation processes.
  • Experience selling advanced technology solutions (automation, robotics, IoT, AI) is an advantage.
  • Strong ability to translate technical features into commercial value.
