Customer Retention Manager – D2C

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement customer retention strategies to increase repeat purchase rate and overall customer lifetime value.
  • Build and optimize CRM campaigns across SMS, WhatsApp, email, push notifications, and loyalty programs.
  • Analyze D2C customer data and buying behavior to identify opportunities for segmentation, personalization, and targeted marketing.
  • Design and execute win-back, subscription, re-engagement, and referral campaigns.
  • Collaborate with performance marketing and brand teams to ensure retention strategies align with acquisition and product initiatives.
  • Drive A/B testing and conversion rate optimization to improve customer journey post-purchase.
  • Own key retention metrics: churn rate, repeat rate, LTV, CAC payback period, etc.
  • Monitor customer feedback and NPS to implement actionable improvements in product and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with tech and product teams to build automation flows and improve platform-level CX.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in D2C or e-commerce customer retention or CRM roles, preferably in FMCG or consumer brands.
  • Proven success in driving retention and loyalty strategies with measurable ROI.
  • Proficiency in tools like Bitespeed, WebEngage, MoEngage, Clevertap, Klaviyo, etc.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication, data interpretation, and customer empathy.
  • Familiarity with subscription models and quick commerce platforms is an added advantage.
