Salary Range: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience and skills)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Costing Engineer with a strong engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in preparing cost estimations, tender pricing, and budget analysis, while also contributing to cost optimization and process improvements.

A solid understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and our manufacturing products is essential. The candidate should also be comfortable using modern tools, including AI support tools like ChatGPT, for data interpretation, report drafting, and technical analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for new and existing projects.

Develop, review, and manage BOMs and BOQs based on technical drawings and specifications.

Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs, and support budgeting and financial forecasting.

Work closely with design, production, procurement, and planning teams to ensure real-time and accurate cost tracking.

Evaluate vendors and subcontractors for cost efficiency and compliance with project requirements.

Perform tender costing, price estimation, and support proposal submissions with cost breakdowns.

Use tools like ChatGPT for generating structured reports, proposal content, and cost analysis summaries.

Monitor cost deviations and propose cost control measures for optimization.

Maintain an updated cost database and archive of historical cost records.

Conduct cost audits and reviews to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

2–5 years of relevant experience in cost estimation or costing roles in manufacturing, construction, or engineering industries.

Proficiency in BOM/BOQ preparation, project costing, and Excel-based modeling.

Experience using ERP systems, MS Excel, and costing software/tools.

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and numerical skills.

Good communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in tender costing and working with government/PSU portals.

Familiarity with AutoCAD or other technical drawing/engineering tools.

Hands-on experience or exposure to AI tools like ChatGPT for research, documentation, and analysis.

Understanding of industry-standard costing practices and project cost control.

Knowledge of wire mesh, fencing, or related product manufacturing will be an added advantage.
