Costing Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Costing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimations, analyzing project budgets, and supporting the finance and engineering teams with detailed reports. A strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates for projects based on drawings, technical specifications, and requirements.
• Develop and manage BOM (Bill of Materials) and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for new and existing products or projects.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead costs, and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with design, production, procurement, and planning teams to ensure accurate costing.
• Evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for cost efficiency and compliance.
• Monitor cost variations and recommend cost control measures.
• Assist in pricing tenders and quotations for new projects.
• Maintain updated cost databases and historical records for future reference.
• Support project management in tracking expenses against estimated budgets.
• Conduct regular audits and cost reviews to identify saving opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a costing/estimation role, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or engineering services.
• Strong knowledge of BOM and BOQ preparation and analysis.
• Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and costing software.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with , AutoCAD, or other engineering tools.
• Knowledge of industry-specific costing standards and practices.
• Exposure to project cost control and tendering processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
