Prepare comprehensive structural layouts and general arrangement drawings using AutoCAD and STAAD Pro, aligning with project specifications. Ensure all designs rigorously meet IS standards and are capable of withstanding wind/snow loads as per specific site conditions. Conduct thorough structural analysis to validate design integrity and safety compliance, providing detailed reports. Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to integrate soil reports and geological data into foundation designs, ensuring stability. Oversee the creation of detailed structural drawings and specifications for foundation construction, facilitating accurate execution. Site Layout and Land Utilization: Develop detailed topographic site plans and grading layouts to optimize land use for solar installations, maximizing energy capture. Plan and design efficient drainage systems and walkways to effectively prevent waterlogging or erosion, preserving site integrity. Coordinate closely with geotechnical teams to incorporate soil reports and geological findings into site designs, ensuring stability. Lead the development of site-specific erosion control plans, adhering to environmental regulations and best practices. Analyze land characteristics to determine the most effective layout for solar panel placement and infrastructure, optimizing energy output. Manage the preparation of site layout drawings, incorporating landscaping and environmental considerations to minimize impact. BOQ and Cost Control: Prepare detailed civil Bills of Quantities (BOQs) with precise quantity estimation and accurate cost inputs, facilitating budget management. Identify and implement opportunities for material and construction cost savings, enhancing project profitability without compromising quality. Collaborate with procurement teams to standardize material specifications, streamline purchasing, and optimize cost-effectiveness. Analyze cost data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for efficient resource allocation. Oversee the preparation of cost estimates for civil works, ensuring alignment with project budgets and financial goals. Manage the tracking and reporting of project costs, providing regular updates to stakeholders and identifying potential cost overruns. Field Coordination and Quality Assurance: Support field execution teams with accurate civil layout markings and comprehensive quality checks, ensuring precise construction. Conduct regular site visits for meticulous foundation inspection and as-built drawing verification, maintaining compliance with design specifications. Ensure safety and structural integrity are maintained across the entire construction phase, adhering to stringent safety protocols. Collaborate with construction managers to resolve any design-related issues that arise during construction, ensuring timely resolution. Oversee the implementation of quality control procedures, ensuring that all civil works meet or exceed industry standards. Manage the documentation of all site inspections and quality control activities, providing a comprehensive record of construction progress. General Expectations and Past Experiences: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 5–7 years of experience in solar EPC or infrastructure projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and STAAD Pro for structural analysis, RCC Foundation Design and layout planning is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of IS codes, soil analysis techniques, and site grading principles. Proven experience in preparing structural drawings, BOQs, and effectively interacting with field engineers. Strong understanding of land utilization strategies for utility and rooftop solar projects. Ability to interpret Geotechnical Reports and apply findings to design solutions.
