Chief Technology Officer

Job Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Job-Specific Skills and Experience:

• 7-10 years of experience in in the IT industry, preferably in the INSURANCE SECTOR or a similar domain. Proven track record in data analytics space and specifically data product management experience; experience working on AI based products / service is strongly preferred ;
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, its products, services, regulations, and challenges
• Expertise in various technologies, such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, internet of things, etc and strong knowledge of data tech stack and tools such as SQL, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Apache Spark, PowerBI, Azure OpenAI Studio, etc.
• Extensive experience working on teams that used data-driven processes to put new Machine Learning models into production, set solid metrics goals, had a successful launch, and showed continuous improvement on KPIs after the system was in production
• Understanding of Data Quality Management, Data Visualization and DataOps processes

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

• A bachelor's degree or higher from a reputable institute in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related. Masters degree will be an advantage
• Develop and implement a technology roadmap that supports the company's vision, mission, and values
• Manage the IT budget, resources, and infrastructure of the company
• Establish and maintain a culture of innovation, collaboration, and agility within the IT department and across the organization
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends that can enhance the company's products, services, and processes
• Partner with other business units, such as marketing, sales, operations, and finance, to understand their needs and provide them with effective and efficient technology solutions
• Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of the company's technology systems and data
• Monitor and measure the performance and impact of the company's technology initiatives and investments
• Foster a customer-centric mindset and deliver a seamless and satisfying user experience
• The role holder will also be responsible for AI product planning and implementation throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing business / stakeholders’ requirements, define wireframes for new feature enhancements, products, and services, and defining the Implementation roadmap; the person manages a portfolio of data & ML-based products Manage a portfolio of data & ML-based products to drive a range of opportunities across the insurance value change
• Using and embedding latest technologies like deep learning, large language models (LLM), machine learning and next generation agents to unlock the power of Generative AI, the role holder will help improve key business outcomes, through insights generation and human augmentation
• The person will own the product backlog, manage user stories, and prioritize development tasks to optimize value delivery.
• The person will need to working closely with data practitioners / data scientists, technology teams and other functional teams for development / implementation
